We had the pleasure of meeting MaryKay at IHOP in Portland for a quick visit.  Lavena and Tucker were able to join us  as we shared news of all the family members.   It was really neat how it worked out.  Mary Kay and her friend came to Portland for a wedding and Greg had a doctor's appointment on that Friday.  I joined him because we were not sure how he would react to the shots the doctor gave him.   We only had a few minutes because Kay was on her way to the rehearsal dinner.

The weekend before Lavena came up to Newry and we rode to the 232 bridge as part of our training for the Bike Trek.
She is a strong rider, and I always feel like I am holding her back, but she never complains.

It was an awesome day to ride and we were accompanied by Lavena's new app on her phone which tells elevation changes,   miles/hour, maps your route, records others riding and the grade of the hills.....  It is really cool, it even tells how many calories she burned.  Too techie for me

It was perfect for riding, warm day no wind-really nice and most of all no bugs.

This is Buddy when he is looking for a place out of the way.  The leg of the table was his pillow.

Last weekend we were celebrating Becca's birthday - she wanted to remind everyone that she is 33 .

Not sure what she will do when she reaches 66.  We had fun laughing, eating, and talking about old times.

Richie cooked the steak tips out on the grill.  He is a master griller.   And I like that!!!!!

This weekend Becca, Richie, Estella and Brenna camped out at our house, because their house is torn apart.  I am sure you will soon see pictures.

This is how you keep Fia busy.  She is a dog with a lot of energy!!!!  She  is the energizer bunny + 1000.  Last weekend Lavena came for the weekend to study and take me for a bike ride.

We have a few ladies from school who like to hike.  So they arranged a hike at the 4-H camp in Bryant Pond.  I was able to go and had never hiked there before.  This husky was in his glory being outside and free.  The trail takes you to the top of a small mountain over looking the lake.

This weekend after we visited with Mary-Kay and then we had dinner with Lavena and Tucker.
It is always nice to share time with them and hear about all their new adventures.  Tucker just got back from playing hockey in Rochester, NY with his old team from MCC.  Notice the shirt he has on.   Lavena is just finishing up another semester at USM.  She is doing really well in all of her classes and gets more excited about the field as she goes through the courses.

I know that these pictures are a little out of order, but that is the way the cookie crumbles.  This post covers two weekends and we are enjoying the warm weather and sunny days.  I rode my bike to Becca and Richie's after church today and we went kayaking for a little while.  It was my first boat ride of the year and Estella takes out my little kayak all by herself.  Brenna rode with me and tells me when to pick up the pace so we can beat her mother.    Have a great week!
