Stairs

quite the project, and like everything project in our home, it was worse than we expected!

This center beam we connected to NOTHING! it was only put up to have something to screw the sheet rock underneath to. While Melvin was tearing the stairs out, he noticed a lot of the "supports" were totally broken, it was only a  matter of time till they caved in and fell down...and we have had a lot of extra weight going up & down these stairs. That ping-pong table is HEAVY! It is a miracle that it never broke! Just another God sighting if you ask me! we are meant to be here for a reason...wait till you hear the chimney story :/  

I came home from a massage and wa-boom you could see clear through from the kitchen to our bedroom!

We had bought red oak treads, they were a little longer than we needed, well actually a lot longer than we needed so... 

We will be using them to cap off the shelf area!! I am pretty excited about that little lucky accident ;) 

Melvin is coming tomorrow to completely finish the job, more pics then, just wanted to show the process!!
