This just went out of order and I don't know how to fix it.       Miss Maggie's turkey.  She is 3 years old, sweet and has a great vocabulary.

Mr. Jack's turkey.  He is 5 and is full of energy and hugs.

Jason and Melissa were our incredible tour guides and shared many precious places, foods, and the Japanese culture with us.  We were waiting for the Shinkansen bullet train.

It is coming in and goes close to 200 miles per hour.

This looks like a blur because it is.

Jason has the subway mastered and moved us around quite nicely.

Lavena thought they could all fit, and they did, but not for long.

We took the Shinkansen to Kyoto and toured parks and pavilions.  The leaves have turned and we got some great s

Ice cream has been a family tradition for a long time.

The following pictures should have been first.
Tucker dropped us off at the train station in Portland on Thursday, November 21 to start our journey to Japan.
This was my first long train ride, which was very nice.  I have wanted to go to Japan for a couple of years, and I could not believe that we were finally on our way.   We stayed in a Comfort Inn in Boston and the lady checking us in looked at Lavena's license and said you are from Cape Elizabeth.  Then she told us that she goes to Newry all the time. How funny was that?  She talked about Table Rock, Step Falls and all the areas we go to.

Lavena knows that I do not like her hair being left in the shower, so she made an airplane for me.  It looks like our plane but it only has one wing : )

13.5 hours over
It was a smooth ride and Japan Air does an excellent job of taking care of everyone.

Jason and Jack came to meet us at Narita, Japan.  I was so glad to see them because we would not have known where to go.
