Anna & Jim (fun & torture)

we brought Jim & Anna out to our rock ;) to windy & cool for most of us to jump in
not wanting the fun to end we brought out the ping pong, and laughed hard for an hour+

We hit Stepfalls for the day! 1st time this summer! Beautiful as ever, but still darn cool...

Cruz & Delilah made the hike! They did great =)
Jim & Anna with our ladies (I think they look great with kids!!)

Fun is over, torture begins ;)
well this part was pretty exciting, we are about to begin!!
1/4 way up, still pretty exciting!!

Momma did great! So glad she is able to hike with us!! Actually she inspires us to hike!

At the top of Tuckermans! That is a hike! I just cant believe people climb up there with skis, get to this point, strap them on then ski down....that is insane! I couldn't stop thinking how scary that would be. This is where we said bye to mom...we didn't do enough pre-hiking to prepare ourselves. We also had the girls in daycare, and luckily mom was able to grab them for us!! She did amazing and we are so proud of her! Next time we need to more training!
After getting super tired & discouraged we couldnt see the tower at all after we left mom here, the clouds kept rolling in. Luckily for me there was a camp of 10 year old girls stuck in the same spot as me, and their leader kept yelling out encouragement to them that helped me too! I was to grateful for those girls! Also like Anna said if 10 year old girls can do it, we can too! Finally at one point I looked up and through the clouds I saw a car drive by, literally about 10 feet in front of us! We had made it!!!!!!!!!
After sitting for a few minutes, changing into all dry clothes, having a cup of coffee that was a gift from God, and getting my penny stamped, we were ready to start the hike down. Well not really, I gladly would have jumped in a car, but there was a sign for no hitchhiking, so we started down. I hadnt finished my coffee yet so I had it in my hand. It was so funny the comments and offers we had for people still climbing up to buy it from me...no way!
This is a very proud moment for me!!! I am going to print this picture for Dr Babikain (my hip doc!!)
the view from top! Anna & Jim went to get a picture on the other side of the building, Rich and I were yelling out to them to find them...kind of scary actually!
Down a little way on Lion head the view was much better!

The wind was crazy though, still smiling though!! A little further down the trail I was just done, but still had over a mile of hiking, so I put the camera away...like mom, I need a little more pre-training before I atempt that hike again =)

WE DID IT!!!!!
