the boy battle begins...

This is Matthew Bean, he is in Stella's class and has been pretty much head over heals for her from day 1!!
This is their second Valentines Day Dance and the 2nd set of gifts he has given us Diaz girls! Now the issue is Brenna loves the attention too and on the way home they were totally fighting over who was "going out" with Matthew (although neither one really knows what that means)!
Stella did get a bear that says TRUE LOVE on it, a box of chocolates and a carnation, Brenna got the chocolates & carnation!!
And I got 2 carnations!! He sure knows how to win a mother!!!
some kiddos in Stellas class sat down for 2 seconds and I caught it on camera!
And the most super exciting moment, today Rich & I each took a girl and sled and rode to bethel for lunch! it was awesome!

Disney on Ice!!

Punk Rockers!
Not that Disney on Ice isn't fabulous enough on it's own, we promised the girls they could have cotton candy for the FIRST time ever!! They were so Excited! So yes it has been a long time since we had to buy it, but who knew the price would inflate to $12 for ONE! that is CRAZY! but we did promise. and they LOVED it! (at least we got the foam flower hat with it!)
Stella's first bite!
and Brenna's, she gave it 2 thumbs up!
this is our crew! me & my girls, Granny & Auntie Lavena! Girls day out!!!!!
This pic is for Pop! He loves Mator and I thought of him immediately! Love you Pop!

Next was Little Mermaid, Sorry Ja, but we thought of you ;)
And Tinkerbell! We all loved this! The fairy mother was so cool floating in!
And Spring has sprung!
<3

And lastly was Toy Story, and yes I cried at the end again, when Andy left for college and left his toys behind, that gets me EVERY time! My favorite guys in this one were the army men, they looked just like the plastic little guys, it was hilarious!
And slinky dog, everything was perfect Disney style! what a great show!
Brenna would finally put on the hat and take a pic!

Sleep over & hair color!

Yesterday we all loaded up in Rich's truck and headed to Granny & Pops for the night!
we all headed out for a ski/walk in the woods!

Then back to the warmth of the fireplace. We realized how much not having our fire place stinks...we had a major chimney fire this week and can no longer run our fireplace till our chimney gets rebuilt/replaced. we are fine, and our house is intact, but it was scary. So we huddled around mom & pops fireplace all night!
And we came home to a TON of snow!! Thankfully we were in Rich's truck so getting in the driveway was no problem!
For Stella's awesome report card, Granny & Pop gave her $ to buy some hair chalk. so we had to try it out! the stuff is AWESOME!
and SO easy to do!
Rich & I like the one streak of color
But there is no way to tell a 6 year old only one streak the first time ;) so we settled on 4!!
And Brenna wanted 2!
These are our rock stars!! They just came around the corner with sparkly sun glasses, guitars and microphones, it is hilarious! Especially because they are singing the, "I should have bought it, when I saw it, at Mardens!!"  song!
rock it!!

Ice Skating

The girls LOVE IT!!!
Daisy not so much, but she has it pretty good, and hates to be left behind
we finally got Stella some single blade skates, now they both have them and what a difference! Double blades suck ;)
We had Mom & Pop over for dinner and whist, it was a hoot! new favorite game for the 4 of us! Pop and I also played a hand of Casino and what fun memories that brought back!

Rich struggles with holding the cards in his hands, so I bought his this nifty contraption! He had us roaring with laughter trying to figure out how it works and how it is less stress full than just holding the darn cards!
Pop came over and helped Rich with a water project, never fun, but they got it and had a lot of laughs in the mean time.
Brenna & Stella have been playing with the features of my new camera, so funny.
And back to skating, Rich & I took the girls out Sunday afternoon, it was absolutely beautiful. No wind, smooth ice...perfection!

Diaz's on Ice!
we are SO lucky to have this in our backyard! (and Rich & I know how blessed we are that God didnt send any buyers around when it was on the market!!)
Snowy Ice Angels!

And Mom came over Monday after school. Unfortunatley the conditions, not so perfect. Although the sun was out and the ice was perfect, the wind was howling. you could literally stand there and get blown across the pond! the girls were a little freaked out by how fast the wind pushed them.

we headed right over to the cove and had protection from the wind, much better! It was great to see mom out there on her skates!!!
And not a bad view!
xoxo
