Part of the adventure was to go to a local gem mine.   Some were more interested in finding semi precious gems, than others were, but everyone was entertained.

It is always fun to wash the rocks

and the clothes

They realized a little splashed on to Maggie's shirt! So the rock scrubbing brush should be good for the shirt too!
The excitement came when Jack found a tiny piece of tourmaline.
These guys did not give up.
One of the most exciting parts of the week occurred when Melissa,  Estella, and Brenna were baptized in our river.  The water is very cold, but Pastor Kevin and Pop helped all three take this step of faith.

This is the same spot where Becca and Jason were baptized.

It is not too cold to have fun.

You did not have to ask him twice if he had fun on the Suzuki. He is a natural!!!

Mimi's -husband,brother and sisters, sister-in laws, Nan, and her friend.   All good sports and even though the day was very windy they have that Maine spirit.
Becca and Richie were great hosts and did so much to make sure everyone had a good time.  We thank  you and appreciate all that you did.

Richie and the cooking crew.

More to come another day.

Life on the pond.

Tea Cups

Can't miss the swans

Two beauties
They look like family

This is the same jail that their parents played in 25 years ago.

Jack kept playing with this until he had it figured out.

They both got the memo on what color to wear today.

I am so thankful- they are good friends.

And more good friends.

And more good friends

These two did not call each other as to what to wear.
You can always look like you have appropriate apparel for  StoryLand.

These cars have also been here at least 25 years and still thrill the kids.

The end of a perfect day at StoryLand.  Richie had to work, but met us for dinner.

This is our most prized gift from the good Lord.  We were all together for several days with added family and friends.  It was a great 9 days, and I was so sad to see it end.   Also I am so happy because I thought my pictures were lost in the electronic shuffle.   When I tried to down load them to my computer they somehow got on my dropbox on my i-pad.  I spent lots of time changing them back to my computer where I know how to work with them.  So over the next few days I will put them on the blog.
